Reviews and Ratings
I found the resort to have a charming and laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The old-fashioned style gives it a homey feel, and there were plenty of activities around, including a fun dinner cruise and scenic train ride. However, my short stay in a suite felt a bit dated, and not everything was ideal, especially with noise from neighbors. Overall, it's a place I might consider returning to, but with some reservations.
I recently stayed at Winddrifter for a couple of days and overall, we had a pleasant time. The place is a bit dated but it was very clean, which I appreciated. The indoor pool was a lifesaver for the kids when our boating plans got rained out. However, the lack of toiletries like shampoo and shower gel was a letdown, especially since our group forgot to pack them. Still, it was a solid stay overall.
The cottage we stayed in had an impressive location right by the water, offering stunning views. It was nice to enjoy breakfast on the deck, but unfortunately, the cottage was quite small and not well maintained. The bedroom was particularly disappointing, with outdated furnishings and little room to maneuver. It was frustrating to deal with the noise from the upstairs unit, and the fact that amenities were located a mile and a half away felt misleading. Overall, it didn’t justify the price we paid.
I really enjoyed my stay at Windrifter. It has a charming, cozy vibe and offers a great location both by the waterfront and near the golf course. While my room had a bit of a cleanliness issue upon arrival, the staff was responsive and made it right. The amenities like the indoor pool and access to trails were excellent. Overall, a good value for a relaxing getaway, though I did find the rooms a bit dated.
My stay at the resort was enjoyable overall, especially because of the lovely location near the lake and the golf course. The units were charming, and I appreciated the helpful owners who made us feel welcome. However, there were some issues with the condition of the bathroom and the amenities that dampened the experience a bit.
